Denmark Shire confident of public support amid councillor resignations
Denmark Shire president David Morrell says the Great Southern town has faith in the council, despite the resignation of two councillors in the past two weeks.
Dawn Pedro resigned early this week after John Sampson who left late last month.
The town's CEO also stepped down late last year.
In a statement explaining her resignation, Ms Pedro accused some council members of making decisions to benefit others' personal agendas.
She labelled the council dysfunctional and said some councillors had supported decisions which were not in the town's best interests.
Cr Morrell said the council was focusing on community consultation and was not serving personal agendas.
