When I met the French family at the Thiksey Monastery I had no idea how significant it would be. I could feel a big connection as we were speaking, but as I was feeling so poorly that morning I just presumed it was because we were all seeing the Tibetan Medicine Man.
Today was simply magical.
I visited the monk who hitched hiked with me back from my last trip to the monastery, as he has a Tibetan medicine room. The air or something in Leh was giving me some serious allergies. When I sat in there listening to the consults with a French family I found myself being quite amazed. Just by feeling their pulse, he was able to accurately describe what was wrong with them. He gave medication, and instructions and soon it was my turn.
How funny life is. When I was at home in Australia the concept of writing a daily blog seemed perfectly reasonable. I have been way too busy enjoying the present moment and capturing the feeling here to stick to that plan. But just a week after we arrived here’s a bit more of the journey so far…
Arrived Delhi. Mmmm the balmy air literally smothers you as exit the airport. A familiar scent in the air reconnecting the spirit with this familiar place.
Two empty flights allowed us flat beds the whole way almost an upgrade! A funny Sikh guy who literally skulled whiskey after whiskey the whole way and then the poor flight attendants trying to arouse him to put his seatbelt on for landing – quite amusing!
