Albany is renowned for the Humpback and Southern Right whales that grace our shores to calve from June to October each year. Rock-Climbing

The coastline around Albany boasts some of the best sea-cliff climbing to be found in Australia. The scenery is spectacular and the climbing is superb.
Good bouldering is easily accessible, with some within walking distance of the Post Office and the rest on the coast.

With the penal settlement first arriving in Albany on Christmas Day in 1826, Albany has a rich and diverse history ready to be explored in one of Albany's many museums and places of historical interest.

Albany's Farmers Markets, held every Saturday on Collie Street from 8.00am - 12.00pm.
Come along and expereince a taste of the Great Southern where you can speak to the farmer that grows the food you're buying.
Boatshed Sunday Markets, held from 10.00am - 1.00pm, each sunday at the Boat Shed. Available is a sample of the freshest of seafood, fruit & vegetables, honey, cheeses, meats and preserves.
South Coast Hwy, between Denmark and Albany, has many small food and produce factories renowned for their quality. A trip along this road can provide you with the opportunity to sample and purchase products such as honey mead, berries, toffee, gourmet sauces and preserves and cider.
