The Cranbrook Shire is located in the Southern Part of the Great Southern Region of Western Australia and is bordered by the Shires of Plantagenet, Kojonup, Boyup Brook, Manjimup, Tambellup and Gnowangerup.
It has an area of 3,392 square kilometres, with a population of approximately 1,200 people and 520 dwellings and approximately 320 km from Perth. The Cranbrook Shire is made up of 3 townsites. Frankland which is situated to the west of the Shire and Tenterden to the South. Cranbrook is situated 3km from the junction of the Albany and Great Southern Highway and only 10 km from the Stirling Range National Park, some 3½ hours drive from Perth and 1 hour from Albany.

Cranbrook is situated in the rich agricultural farming area, its main income is derived from sheep, wool and grain.
FRANKLAND
Frankland is approximately 370 km south-south-east of Perth via Albany Highway, a drive of about 4 hours. The Frankland townsite is situated 47 km west of Cranbrook via the Cranbrook-Frankland Road.
Today Frankland is one of WA's best kept secrets of rolling hills, rich and productive farming land, natural forest and bush, abounding with unique native wildflowers.
Whilst in the Frankland area visit some of Australias award winning wineries that are renowned for their fresh and fruity whites and full bodied reds.
