The Calendar is a great way to let all the people in the region know about a future event. To add an item to the calendar, please complete the steps below:

1. Register a username with Albany GateWAy and/ or login to the site.   2. From the front page, click on the Calendar icon to navigate to the calendar. →   3. You can add an event one of three ways, shown by the arrows below.

• Move your mouse to the day that you would like the event to appear and wait for the + sign to appear. Click on the +.
• Click Add an event below the calendar
• Click Add a Calendar Event in the Registered User Menu on the right

All of these options will direct you to a new page titled "Edit Event"

4. Enter the details of the event into the form using the example on the right to guide you. Please choose the category most appropriate to the event.

5. Time and date details also need to be given. This is where you can correct the date if you clicked on the wrong one in the previous step.

To enter a DAILY EVENT - To Advertise an event every day for the period of the event.
Start Date     = Enter Start Date
End Date     = Enter Last Date
Multi Day Event Treatment = Should this multi day event appear on each day of event? =  Yes
 

To enter a WEEKLY EVENT - To Advertise an event to appear one day every week
Start Date = Enter Start Date
End Date     = Leave at Start Date.
Repeat Type = Weekly
Repeat Interval = Repeat Count (eg 6 weeks) … or… Repeat Until End Date

To enter a MONTHLY EVENT
To advertise an event to appear once a month for say 6 months.
Start Date = Enter Start Date
End Date = Leave at Start Date.
Repeat Type = Monthly
Repeat Interval = 1
Repeat Until = Last Date of event
By Day = Click button - day of event will be automatically selected

See options to unpublish event, edit repeat or edit event.
 

6. When you are happy with the details, click the Save link at the very top ileft hand of the page to submit your event to the calendar.

The Albany GateWAy community calendar if a FREE service to the Great Southern community to add and edit coming events. The ads will appear in a plain text format.
