gateWAy respects the privacy of Visitors, Members and Staff.

Information We Collect

GateWAy ensures the privacy of its users. The only time client information is used is to notify you of upcoming events, specials or announcements in general. Unless otherwise stated gateWAy will not exchange or sell our information about our registered Visitors or
Members.

Registration

By submitting an online application you agree to the terms provided on the site. During the registration a user will be asked to fill in details such as address, name, email etc. GateWAy staff may use your details to contact you regarding your registration. Any information submitted will not be used or sold as mentioned above.

Cookies

A cookie is a piece of data that is stored on a user hard drive containing info about the user. It is in no way linked to any personal identification. It is only used to make the site more user friendly and for gathering information about traffic flow.

Security

The GateWAy portal supports online payments. Transferral of account details is safe at all times as all account information entered into our site is encrypted to ensure the safety of your information. Because it is encrypted other computers are unlikely to decipher it within a practical timeframe, keeping your account information private as can be expected from the current state-of-the-art. When making an online transaction on the GateWAy site you will see a small padlock or key on the lower part of your web browser. This indicates that your connection to the site is encrypted giving you safety and security comparable if not exceeding those of fax and telephone.

Member provided content is copyright of their respective owners and defaults to the 'Creative Commons Public Licence - Some Rights Reserved' unless otherwise stated on the page in question.

All material Visitors and Members submit to any of our public posting areas becomes subject to gateWAy's Creative Commons Public License.

We welcome links to our service. You are free to establish a hypertext link to this site so long as the link does not state or imply any sponsorship of your site by gateWAy. A link to another Web site does not constitute an endorsement of that site (nor of any product, service or other material offered on that site) by gateWAy.

3. Responsibilities

GateWAy is a conduit for Member provided content.GateWAy cannot accept any responsibility for Member provided content and makes no representations, explicit or implied. GateWAy respects the freedom of speech of the Members and Visitors. When notified of illegal practices, gateWAy will block access to offending content. By using GateWAy, all users (Visitors, Members and Staff) take full responsibility for their own actions, indemnifying Albany Gateway Cooperative from any legal or extra-legal action or claims.

Unless otherwise stated, GateWAy staff do not monitor Member or Visitor publications on any regular basis. If you detect any illegal publications, please inform the Keeper so appropriate action can be taken. GateWAy will comply with the requirements of the law regarding disclosure of illegal messages to others.

GateWAy expects that all Visitors and Members will not use the service to violate anyone's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights. By submitting material to gateWAy, you are representing that you are the owner of the material, or are making your submission with the express consent of the owner.
