The Albany Historical Society is the custodian of three historical treasures, come and visit our past.

Albany Convict Gaol:  Built in 1852, the ghosts of the unfortunates who inhabited it can be visited daily. For a night tour, phone John on 0407 387 484 or Joy on 9841 4180

Patrick Taylor Cottage :
This 11 room wattle and daub home, furnished as it would have been in bygone days, is the oldest surviving dwelling in Western Australia.

It is surrounded by a cottage garden and the only native garden in Albany.

The Brig Amity : A replica of the sailing ship which brought the first settlers to Western Australia on Christmas Day in 1826.
