Make A Difference....Volunteer

 OUR ROLE IN THE COMMUNITY
Albany has a wealth of community groups and volunteers that contribute to making our region vibrant and successful.  The role of Albany & Regional Volunteer Service (ARVS) is to link volunteers with ARVS registered "not-for-profit" agencies.

ARVS AND NOT FOR PROFIT AGENCIES
Not for profit agencies, including sporting groups, aged care, community groups,  list volunteer positions with ARVS.  We are then able to refer volunteers to their organisation. Membership is free and open all year round.
We also promote Best Practice by offering training opportunities, volunteer recognition and resources for organisations and volunteers.

VOLUNTEERING
Volunteers can go online to www.volunteeringwa.org.au put in your postcode and volunteering jobs will be listed in your region.  If you are interested in any position follow the prompts for emailing and we will contact you.  Alternatively you are welcome to drop in to our office.

There are currently 100s of volunteer positions available, including:

Port-to-Point Fun run - Positions available for marshals, managing drink stations and at the finish line.

Community Visitors Scheme - Visiting with the elderly. For those interested a morning tea will be held on Nov 7th, 9.30am at Citizens Advice Bureau.

HMB Endeavour -  In Albany 14th - 18th January. Looking for tour guides and overnight ship-keepers.

Become a Mentor - School based mentors needed. Bake a cake, draw, knit, chat, share your skills. It's that easy, and rewarding.

Volunteer From Home - Give someone a call and have a chat on a regular basis.
