Monet’s Hill is a poem written by a local who has an admiration for trees and their great strength. “Where they are born[germinate] is where they live their life, they can’t pack up a travel bag, spit the dummy or disappear under another name. They have to deal with what ever nature has to throw at them if they are to survive.” Monet’s Hill

On life’s busy highway, we see them ev’ry day.
Just when things are flowing, they step out in our way.
When the road is perfect, we seem to need big pits.
Digging roads up just for fun, gives most folks the nits.
