I was born and raised in Albany, went away for 2 1/2 years many years ago and have lived here ever since. My children have all left, but still I love to live in Albany. I live 10kms out of town and it only takes 8 minutes to drive to work with green rolling hills all the way, I love the pace and lifestyle and there is always somewhere to go on the weekends.
What do you like or dislike about living in Albany?

Friday’s wild weather has left its mark! Centenial Oval looks like it’s been clear-felled, the historic cemetry on Middleton Road is strewn with down trees. A huge pine up near the high school has come down..and so it goes on. Lots of down fences, lost roofs and some near misses from falling trees. (more…)

Its a common cry all mums are familiar with during school holidays despite all the playstations, DVD’s, and other electronic toys most kids have access to these days. Sometimes, as locals, we forget exactly how much there is to do in Albany. Kids of all ages will enjoy the new animals at Whale World, small children can have a ball at Tumble Jam ( indoor play centre) or why not rug up and explore Albany like a tourist? (more…)
