1,100 million years have passed since the formation of this spectacular landform.  The many walking  trails through this natural wonderland enable you to enjoy first hand the marvels of  Balancing Rock the panoramic vista from Devil's Slide and Marmabup Rock.  The Porongurup Range is the home to over 700 species of flowering plants, some of which are rare, endangered or endemic     Porongurup has a wide range of facilities for the short or long term visitor.  There is a wide  range of accommodation to suit all tastes and budgets.  While here, why not try some of the fine wines of the region, sample the fruits from the orchards or enjoy meals from the local restaurants.  Make the Porongurups the base for a longer stay, as it is well located to a range of other attractions, such as Mount Barker, the Stirling Range, the historic city of Albany with its rugged coastline, Denmark and much, much more.
