THE MOUNT BARKER RAILWAY STATION:
The recently lovingly restored Railway Station houses the Mt Barker Tourist Bureau. The building constructed in 1923 was very much used until the 1984 when the passenger and goods services
were discontinued, after which the building fell into disrepair until 1997 when the Shire of Plantagenet commenced restoring it. The restoration was completed in 1998 and the official opening was held on the 17th October 1998.
