WEST ARTHUR
Sporting & social clubs
|
Sports and social clubs are the mainstay of community life in our Shire. All are run by volunteer groups and fundraising is the order of the day for their financial upkeep.
With lifestyle pressures and a declining population, the challenge is on to keep our clubs vibrant and viable. Of course clubs will come, go or merge to reflect our changing society. But with the strong club loyalty and community support our clubs currently enjoy, most will continue to exist and flourish.
Below is a list of the Shire of West Arthur's sports and social clubs in 2003. Contact details are in the West Arthur Community Directory, available from the West Arthur Telecentre Inc. |
