FARMING SERVICES Agriculture is big business in the Shire of West Arthur, generating millions of dollars in revenue, and employing some two-thirds of the local population.  A wide range of farming services operate in the Shire to support farming enterprises.  Farming support includes – earthworks & dam cleaning engineering farm trees fencing contractors financial and consultancy general and farm supplies harvesting and hay contracting landcare pest and week control seed cleaning shearing contractors sheep breeders & studs stock agents transportation wool broking. Over the coming weeks we will publish information from people involved in supporting farming in the Shire -  whats involved, the challenges, how they see farming developing and possibly their own roles changing.
