Country Pennants - 2009

Next year, country pennants is to be held in Carnarvon.  Due to the distance to travel and organisation required, letters are being sent out shortly inviting swimmers to train for the team.  Below is a statement on the selection process.

  • Unlike other competitions where any swimmer can compete this is the only meet where we take the fastest team possible regardless of age.
  • Swimmers will swim between 1-4 individual races and relays if required.  Selection for the team is also dependant upon regular attendance at training and current long course times.
  • The Committee wish to maintain our “Division A” ranking.  We are expecting strong challenges from Bunbury and Mandurah.  This is a team, not an individual meet.
  • Swimmers invited to be part of the squad are expected to continue training consistently through the summer holidays and up until the meet.
  • Swimmers are expected to abide by the club code of conduct policy.
  • Travel and accommodation arrangements are being determined and these will be advised soon.
  • The meet is on Saturday 28th February and Sunday 1st March 2009.
