Welcome to the Great Southern community environment page!

Some of WAs most impressive natural features and important environments fall within our region: old growth forests, spectacular wild coastline and river systems, and major national parks such as Fitzgerald River, DEntrecasteaux and the Stirling Ranges.  Community environment groups are working to protect these natural features, as well as developing ecologically sustainable approaches to natural resource management, energy use, urban planning, and community development.
